IDM Services offer a comprehensive agricultural contracting service to farmers across Cornwall and Devon. specializing in forage harvesting of grass, wholecrop & maize as full or part operations. With 13 ton trailers and a high capacity buckrake we ensure whatever your crop, it’s harvested, transported and ensiled efficiently and to the highest standard.
IDM’s Claas 940 forage harvester is equipped with a tyre inflation kit, which adjusts tyre pressures in-field to suit ground conditions. This reduces damage to the soil structure of your land. We also operate a Claas Quantimeter system, which offers tonnage harvested, DM content and field variation yield maps. This makes it easy for you to forward plan feed stocks and monitor field performance.
For grass, we fix the 12.5m rake ahead of the forager, increasing efficiency and reducing the number of field passes. For whole crop harvests, we attach the Quickcut direct disc header, which cuts cereals and pulses with ease, whether undersown with grass or not. For Maize, we use a Claas Orbis 600 8 row maize header. This attachment has auto-contour and lateral float which leaves an exceptionally even & tidy stubble.
